A Q&A with Doctor Cooley-Lock
General
What are your unique abilities or passions?
I am skilled in ultrasonography along with endoscopy and love these procedures, essentially anything non-invasive. I think these modalities can provide us with an overwhelming amount of valuable information.
What is most important for referring veterinarians to know about when referring a patient?
All information is important, no detail is too small when it comes to Internal Medicine.
What are your clinical interests?
I trained heavily in and have a great interest in hematology, immune-mediate diseases, infectious diseases, and GI.
Tell us about your background and fun facts.
I grew up in Birmingham, AL, and went through the Oak Mountain school system. I loved playing softball as a kid and attended Mississippi State on a softball scholarship and met my husband there.
I grew up in the veterinary community as a technician at Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic which helped set a strong foundation for the veterinarian I am today.
My husband and I share a passion in our faith in Jesus and our church, we love the outdoors/hiking, football, baseball, softball, hanging with our kids for pizza/popcorn movie nights, and we could eat Mexican food every day!
