Katie Cooley Lock
Dr. Katie Cooley Lock is a Board Certified Specialist in Internal Medicine. She was born and raised in Birmingham and grew up working at Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic. She attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2013. While at MSU, Dr. Lock went on to complete a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery and an Internal Medicine and Oncology Internship. She worked as a general practitioner at Hope Animal Clinic before completing her Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
Her special interests include ultrasonography, endoscopy, hematology, and immune-mediated diseases. Her main goal is to provide the best care possible to every patient she sees and treat them as if they were her own. Dr. Lock helps guide owners through difficult decisions, allowing every pet the best quality of life possible for as long as possible.
In her spare time, she and her husband and their two children enjoy spending time at church and small group. They also attend as many sporting events as possible (especially MSU). They also try to get to any body of water possible with their lab mix, Nala.
